Indian textile industry-Environmental issues

چکیده
Indian textile industry occupies a unique position in the Indian economy. Over the period, it has gone through several changes. In the present paper, an attcmpt has been made to present an overview of Indian textile industry in terms of its structure, associated problems, its impact on environment, pollution control strategies, German ban on azo dyes, response of textile ministry to cope with the implementation of German ban, and other environmental issues.
